BARC Recruitment 2014 Technical Officer C (27 Posts) – Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) a constituent Unit under the Department of Atomic Energy is a multidisciplinary organisation, pursuing comprehensive research and development programmes for harnessing nuclear energy and also its utilisation for the benefit of the society. These R & D efforts are concentrated in the fields of nuclear sciences, engineering & technology, basic sciences and allied fields and geared for exploitation of atomic energy for power generation and application of radiation technology in the areas of agriculture, health care and industry. The centre is engaged in the research and development of front line technologies. The interaction with academic institutions and international cooperation in related advanced areas of research is being continuously strengthened. BARC continues to give R&D support to all other units of DAE and provide necessary support to ensure national security.

BARC Recruitment 2014 Technical Officer C – Details :

1. Technical Officer/C (Electrical)

No. of Posts : 03 Posts (UR – 02 ; ST – 01)

Qualification : B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical discipline with ≥60% marks or equivalent  CGPA from a recognized University.

Desirable : Knowledge of different high voltage high current semi-conductor switches and their applications for development of compact high voltage power supplies; knowledge of basic governing mathematical equations involved in the functioning of a high voltage pulse power system, different types of capacitors & high voltage spark gap switches and their applications; knowledge of high current and high voltage pulse generation and measurement techniques.

2. Technical Officer/C (Electronics) 

No. of Posts : 03 Posts (Ur – 01 ; OBC – 01 ; ST – 01)

Qualification : B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics discipline with ≥60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University.

Desirable : Knowledge of developing firmware for FPGA and DSP based systems; knowledge of testing and debugging of FPGA based systems; knowledge of fibre optic passive and active components and LASERs.

3. Technical Officer/C (Mechanical) – 02 Posts SC

Qualification : B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical discipline ≥60% marks or equivalent CGPA  from a recognized University.

Desirable : Experience of working in component and system design tools (3D); knowledge of material properties for different insulating materials.

4. Technical Officer/C (Physics) 

No. of Posts : 10 Posts (UR – 06 ; OBC – 03 ; SC – 01)

Qualification : M.Sc in Physics with ≥60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University.

Desirable : Physics with Statistics and Mathematics background; knowledge in LASERs and LASER applications, semi conductors, spectroscopy techniques, computers etc.; knowledge of equation of state modelling and design of experiment in the field of high energy density physics.

5. Technical Officer/C (Chemistry)

No. of Posts : 09 Posts (UR – 05 ; OBC – 03 ; SC – 01)

Qualification : M.Sc in Chemistry with ≥60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a  recognized University.

Desirable : Knowledge in instrumental methods of chemical analysis

Pay Scale : Rs.15600 – 39100/- + Grade Pay of Rs.5400/-  ;  Total Emoluments including all allowances  (A1 city)  (Approx.) – Rs.54,500/-

Age Limit : UR – 35 years  ;  OBC – 38 years  ;  SC/ST – 40 years

Selection Process : Candidates will be called for technical interview based on their academic and professional qualifications and experience in the relevant field. Final selection will be based on the performance in the interview.  The candidates called for interview from outstation will be paid to and fro rail fare by SECOND CLASS/ SLEEPER or actual fare whichever is less.
