Rajasthan Govt. scheme - Mukhaya Mantri Anna Suraksha Yojan Efforts to Control Prices
- Under the Mukhya Mantri Anna Surksha
Yojana. it is being ensured that 36 lakh poor families get 25 Kg. of
wheat every month at the rate of Rs. 2 per Kg. If the family desires
fortified flour (with Iron, Folic Acid and Vitamin B12), instead of
wheat, then the same is provided at Rs. 3.60 per Kg. An annual subsidy
to the tune of Rs. 350 crores is being provided for the Scheme.
- Upto 10 Kg. fortified flour is being
provided the APL families at the rate of Rs. 8.10 per Kg. in 10
districts and Rs. 8.60 per Kg. in the remaining districts of the State.
- In the Jaipur and Jodhpur districts,
where sufficient number of flour mills are in operational, fortified
flour is being provided at all the places in these districts. hile in
the remaining districts, the same is being provided at the district
headquarters, sub divisional headquarters, municipality and panchayat
samiti headquarters.
- Tea at the rate of Rs. 140 per Kg. is
being also made available at all the fair price shops, dairy booths and
consumer stores in the State.
- Ration is being distributed with
complete transparency in the presence of government employees at the
fair price shops between 22nd - 28th of every month.
- The Rajasthan State Food and Civil
Supplies Corporation has been constituted and has started functioning.
It is supplying items to the consumers through the Public Distribution
System (PDS) at cheaper rates than the market.
- Wheat, rice, pulses, grain, wheat
flour, fortified wheat flour, chowkar, maida, suji and all types of
kerosene have been exempted from VAT, thus providing relief in tune of
Rs. 300 crores to the public.
- The subsidy of Rs. 25 per cylinder is
being provided on the domestic LPG. Rs.125 crore subsidy is being
provided by the State Government on 5 crore cylinders being sold in the
State every year.
- Similarly, concession of 54 paisa per
litre on the increased rate of diesel is being provided by the State
government, which has provided a relief of Rs. 250 crore to the public.
